Calling All Greenthumbs

I bought this plant at Trader Joe's earlier this week for eight bucks and I'm loving it. It's so fragrant with two different kinds of mint and a lavender plant. It's called "Tea Time" herbs. It provides a recipe to make a "Cup of Zen" tea which I have yet to make. But, the mint makes a refreshing Mojito. I don't have a green thumb though. I fear before too long this will be dead. Any insights on how to keep it alive is appreciated.

You may have to separate the mint from the lavender to keep them both thriving, because they both like different potting and soil conditions.

But then, I'm no expert. I have very little luck with herbs ~ even my rosemary plants die, and from what I understand they're almost impossible to kill. Best to use your plant for fragrant cocktails ~ Hey! You could use the mint and the lavender, and call it a "Zen Mojito". Or a "Zen-tini!" :)

Tea....Mojito....

Tea...Mojito...

tough choice.

Well it seems sacrificing it for the sake of a cocktail may win out. I like the idea of a Zen-tini next. I'll need to get more rum and limes if I want anymore mojitos though they aren't out of the question either. :-D

Sorry I'm late. I was washing my cat.

Plant the mint outside and watch it take over your garden/yard. Water twice a week.
Water the lavender once a week, allowing the soil mix to dry completely between waterings.

Your mileage may vary.
